In 2012 Calvary Leadership College provides face-to-face ministry and leadership training in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and on the Sunshine Coast. One college in four campuses! Regardless of where you live in Queensland, Calvary Leadership College provides you with the opportunity to be trained for your future together with over 85 other full time students in our College.

 

Our Bible and Ministry program is a unique blend of practical hands-on experience and thought provoking classroom experiences that will shape your life greatly.

 

In partnership with Alphacrucis College, we offer a Certificate IV in Ministry (plus internship) and a Diploma of Ministry (plus internship). Both of these courses are AUSTUDY approved and Government accredited.

 

Timetable

Lectures are tailored with you in mind and require just one day per week of contact time.

 

In Cairns lectures take place on Tuesdays.

In Mackay lectures take place on Wednesdays.

In Townsville and on the Sunshine Coast lectures take place on Thursdays.

 

(Additionally, students from Calvary intern within our Townsville or Sunshine Coast campuses on Fridays.)

 

Certificate IV in Ministry – 91389NSW–CRICOS Course Code: 069728A

The Certificate IV in Ministry is one year in length, and comprises of eight subjects (four per semester). Six of these subjects are completed in class, lectured by our trained faculty. (Christian Worldview, Old Testament Overview, New Testament Overview, Contemporary Leadership, Discipleship, and Evangelism) The remaining two subjects are completed in your home church as Field Training in an internship.

 

This ensures you receive a unique blend of expert knowledge as well as the opportunity to have practical experience in a variety of leadership and ministry settings.

 

The Certificate IV in Ministry is available to study in all four Calvary Leadership College campuses.

 

Diploma of Ministry – 91392NSW-CRICOS Provider Code: 069729M

The Diploma of Ministry is also one year in length (Certificate IV must be completed first), and comprises nine subjects. Seven of these are completed in class by our trained faculty. (Pentecostal Worldview, Contemporary Preaching, Genesis, Romans, Ethics, Church History and Pastoral Ministry) The remaining two subjects are completed in your home church as Field Training in an internship.

 

In 2012 the Diploma of Ministry is available face-to-face in our Sunshine Coast campuses only.

 

Alphacrucis College (90525) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (AQSA). The CRICOS Registration Administrator is QLD Department of Education and Training.

 

Special Events

(all these events are covered in full-time student fees)

 

Spiritual Intensive 9th – 11th May

Students from all four campuses join in Townsville (we fly Sunshine Coast students) for a power packed spiritual intensive. This will be a significant time of breakthrough in your life.

 

Combined Retreat 15th – 17th August

Our College retreat on the Sunshine Coast will be one of the most memorable events of your year. Our entire student body will join with students from Metro Leadership College (Brisbane) for three days of spiritual impartation and relationship building. Guest speakers include James Macpherson, Paul Geerling, Lucas Connell, Ben Naitoko and Dustan Bell.

 

Schoolies Mission Trip 17th – 24th November

Our evangelism course features a week-long ministry trip (at Airlie Beach or the Gold Coast) where our students will take part in the Schoolies Red Frog outreach. This is an incredible opportunity to practically outwork the leadership, teamwork and evangelism skills you have learned during the college year.
