There’s something very significant about milestone moments. Milestones prompt us to reflect upon our journey to date and look ahead to future possibilities. This year is a milestone moment for Calvary, as we celebrate 100 years since our humble beginnings in South Townsville (Australia) in 1924. It’s an occasion that inspires gratitude and faith as we reflect on all God has done, and will continue to do, through the people of Calvary.
In this centennial year, we’re focusing our faith on Jesus’ promise, “whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:12) Greater means larger, stronger, and more. That’s God’s desire for you, not lesser things and not simply more of the same things. Greater things!
Our prayer for you is that you’d experience greater things in God at this year’s Calvary Conference, and your children experience the same at Calvary Kids Conference. We know that through the preaching of the Word, the worship and ministry moments, and the connection over meals with our wider Calvary family, we will all be inspired to believe for God’s ‘larger, stronger and more’ in your future.
